Institute of Information Security
Welcome to the Institute of Information Security at Leibniz University Hannover.
Broadly, our research addresses the security of information technology systems. We analyze IT security mechanisms to find vulnerabilities and build new mechanisms to protect information systems and their users from attacks. In particular, we focus on data driven and human centered information security.
If you are interested in building new security mechanisms, breaking existing ones, analyzing large data sets with a focus on security or conducting user studies with software developers, system administrators or end users, please send us an email or drop by our office.
Please check our current projects and recent publications to learn more about our work.
We do not offer thesis topics for the summer term
Currently the Institute for Information Security has no selection of available topics for bachelor or master theses. Instead, we prefer to discuss possible topics directly with the student in one or more meetings. We feel that this approach allows for better topics as they are influenced by the ideas and strengths of the student.
If you are interested in such a meeting, please write a short message with your current security interests to theses(at)sec.uni-hannover.de
